Week Without Walls
This years Week Without Walls was my second and final one. Last year I had gone to Greece, and it was undescribably fun, but the only things I really remember are the memories I made with my friends. I don’t remember much about any of the sights I saw. That is why this year I decided to go somewhere I would have fun, but also remember the things we did as a group, not just with my friends, so I chose Philippines.
In the Philippines we were supposed to become certified open-water scuba divers. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get certified because I had an ear infection. This leads to what I learned on this trip. I learned several things, but I think the most important thing I learned is that you have to adapt to every situation that you are put in for the better. I chose Philippines thinking I was going to go scuba diving and see the ocean life and have lots of fun. That trip certainly didn’t turn out as I expected. In the end I wasn’t able to dive, which disappointed me becuase I was looking forward to seeing all the cool and colorful creatures. Then I realized that i had to adapt and change my mood about not being able to dive, and I did. Instead of scuba diving I asked my dive instructor if I could snorkel while my dive group dove and so I ended up seeing the same ocean life that the others saw but just from a distance. I still had lots of fun too. Being adaptable not only changes your feelings towards something but it changes the people around you’s feelings towards you. In my opinion this was a great and valuable lesson.

“Never judge a book by its movie.” –J.W. Eagan
This was the one I thought was funny.
“Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.”
That is a quote that I really like and try to live by. I like it because it makes you think and also becuase its true. If you worry about the next day everyday, then you’re just going to live your life worrying. So basically, live life in the momment. What is your interpretation of it ?

I recently read a blog called Heroes TV Show S03E04 HDTV. It was a spoiler of the new episode of Heroes, the TV show, season 3, episode 4. The blog gave a short summary about what was going to happen in the next episode. I now know that in the next episode, Peter Petrelli, saves the world, once again. However, Adam Monroe, an evil character returns because Hiro Nakamura and Ando seek his help. I enjoyed this blog because I like to prepare myself by knowing, breifly, what is going to happen next. If you are a fan of Heroes, and enjoy knowing whats going to happen ahead of time, you should look at this blog at : http://soft-lib.net/heroes-tv-show-s03e04-hdtv/.
